Hobby-X showcases a wide variety of materials, equipment, supplies and ideas for an extensive range of creative crafts and hobbies. 2013 marks the 16th anniversary of Hobby-X, and this next show will be our 34th show countrywide.
With almost 250 exhibition stands to explore in Johannesburg and over 130 stands in Midrand, you're in for a spectacular shopping experience - beads and gems, books, magazines, gardening, pewter, glass art, doll making, power tools, woodworking, puzzles, mosaics, scrapbooking, bear making, metal clays, easels, paints, canvasses, model cars, planes and trains, Meccano, slot cars, bungee swings, cooking, card making and so much more.
Not only are there loads of wonderful new products to buy, but you can also participate in interactive areas, watch fascinating demos, book a trendy workshop and soak up the inspiration all around you.
In our fast paced society, the busier you are the more important it is to dedicate time to something that you enjoy and that allows you to be in control! The satisfaction of doing something you enjoy simply because you enjoy it is immense – and it's good for you. That fulfillment enables you to be a better parent, a more productive worker, a less grouchy spouse or partner. Hobby-X Johannesburg 2012 was once again a resounding success, with great feedback from exhibitors and visitors, many saying that Hobby-X is their best show of the year!
Hobby-X Bloemfontein was a beautiful and intimate show with excellent product variety and a very personal feel. The SMME Development in Action conference that was held alongside the exhibition also benefitted greatly by exposing conference attendees to many new ideas and skills for entrepreneurial opportunities. Following on from their initial exposure to that market, a number of exhibitors have subsequently booked to host consumer and trade workshops in Bloemfontein.
Hobby-X Midrand at Gallagher Estate in September 2012 was the second show in that venue and enjoyed 20% growth over the launch show. It's a vibrant and exciting exhibition which provides a great show experience to both visitors and exhibitors.
After having hosted 15 shows at the Coca-Cola Dome and numerous others in the major centres of South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Midrand and Bloemfontein), Expo Trends has now organised 33 dynamic and successful Hobby-X exhibitions since its inception in 1998.
